Master of Architecture

APPLICATION

  • Applications for the Master of Architecture by Coursework (192C) – MARCP

    Applications will open in September 2025 and will close on 31st October 2025.

    The program is offered in two formats:

    • Full-time: 1 year

    • Part-time: 2 years

Entrance Requirements

  1. Academic Qualification
    Applicants are eligible to apply for the Master of Architecture by Coursework (MARCP) if they have:

    • Been awarded a postgraduate qualification in Architecture at NQF Level 8,
      or

    • Been admitted to the status thereof by the university.

  2. Concept Note Submission
    Upon application, applicants must submit a Concept Note outlining their proposed topic for the Architectural Research Dissertation.

Meeting the minimum entrance requirements does not guarantee admission. Final selection is subject to:

  • Availability of spaces,

  • Academic performance, and

  • The decision of the Admissions Committee based on its selection criteria.

Additional Requirement for Certain Applicants

If you do not have Research Methods credits from your Honours qualification:

  • You may only register as a Part-Time student, and

  • You will be required to complete the ARCH7RM – Architectural Research Methodology module in Semester 1 of your registration.
